Water, Clouds, Reflections

Grants Pass, Oregon

There is an abundance of water in Southern Oregon. This page features water in many forms.

Cloudscapes

The clouds play "peekaboo" with the sun and mountains during the rainy season, creating glorious cloudscapes:

Raindrops

Raindrops collect on plants and grasses:

Reflections

There are many opportunities to photograph reflections:

Waterways

Several creeks wind through Grants Pass on their way to the river. The two featured here are Gilbert Creek and Greens Creek.

Gilbert Creek

Gilbert Creek runs south through town. These pictures, taken last July at Hawthorne Park, have a greenish cast from the sunlight filtering through the trees:

Greens Creek

On the southeast side of town is Greens Creek. Swollen by winter rains, it was a cascading torrent in February:

Views of the Rogue

More shots of the Rogue River:

This one was taken from the pedestrian bridge at Reinhart Volunteer Park:

These two were taken in the nearby town of Rogue River, from the Depot Street Bridge (Rogue River Bridge):

These were taken at Chinook Park, late in the day:
