Grants Pass boasts some fabulous sunsets and FANTASTIC rainbows. The ongoing interplay of sun, rain and clouds creates lots of special effects in the sky!

The next three sunsets were taken in late summer/early fall. There was a large wildfire burning about 30 miles away, which accounted for the smoky air.

Rainbow!

November brings a mixture of rain and sun, perfect rainbow weather. A double arc over Grants Pass and was featured on the front page of the local paper in early November. A few days later, another single arc appeared. This time I had my camera!

The arc was too big to fit into a single frame. The colors were so vibrant, the rainbow looked three-dimensional, like you could reach out and touch it. It was the brightest rainbow I have ever seen. By the time I took these pictures, it had begun to fade!

May your days be filled with Sunsets and Rainbows!
