Trip to Port Townsend, Washington

December 2006

Over the Christmas/New Year's holiday, I visited with family and friends in Port Townsend, Washington. Here are some photos!

While in Port Townsend, I stayed with my friends Patricia Jepsen, Judy Caruso, Copper and Delphi. Patricia is the author of The GodSelf and other spiritual writings, as well as founder of The Sanctuary School. Delphi is well-known for her books, Six Lessons with Delphi and Delphi: What Being on Earth Is All About. She is also the inspiration behind the Delphi Kids Club.

Christmas morning...time to open some gifts!

One more, please!

Copper preferred Delphi's gift to his own.

Copper, greeter and protector of the household, posed for several shots, looking smart in his red bow. He has a close connection with plants, and is waiting for Pat to help him write a book about them.

Delphi loves her special blue dog bed ("boat") and is often smiling. She speaks often about the importance of smiling in her books.

I also spent time with my mother, Betsy Hunt, and her cat companion Alex. We went for a blustery walk along the waterfront on Christmas Day!

Port Townsend is a historically preserved Victorian seaport on the Olympic Peninsula. It is surrounded by the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

To get to the peninsula, you have to take a ferry from Seattle across Puget Sound. Lots of great views!

On the flight back, I looked out the window and thought there was snow on the ground. But it was just clouds!

Happy New Year to all!
