Life on the Rocks!
A lot of rocks along the riverbank have veins running through them. I enjoy the patterns!

Look carefully. Do you see the face (side view) of a sleeping man on the upper right?
Feathered Friends
The Canada Geese live along the river. We see and hear them every day!

There are also many other kinds of birds, including hawks, crows, woodpeckers, blue jays, robins, finches and sparrows, along with ducks, great blue heron and bald eagles. It's a regular wildlife refuge!
Here is a very fuzzy picture of a great blue heron, taken from another area along the river:

Other river visitors include an African Grey Goose, Coots with their striking black bodies and white beaks...

More Animal Companions
My neighbors have three cats and a dog. Here is a picture of Mama Kitty:

and this is Sophie, their golden retriever. They adopted her from the humane society!

This neighborhood cat was not happy to see Margarita and me. We had to go way around him!

In the Yard...
We are presently staying with a friend in a house near the river. It has a large yard with lots of gardens.
